When I started CrossFit over 15 years ago and double unders were introduced I was beyond confused why I couldn't do double unders. Jumping rope for me was intuitive having been a gymnast but that double under was incredibly frustrating.

When I started doing CrossFit there was no such thing as a quality jump rope. Not being able to do double unders really bugged me. How could I be able to jump rope but not be able to do a double under? So, I started looking at the biomechanics of jumping. What needed to happen to you body to get a double under then I began to ask questions.

  1. - What was the ideal length of the rope?
    - Did the length of the rope really matter?
    - How high did I need to jump?
    - How fast did the rope need to move?
    - What was the ideal grip on the handle?
    - Why do I keep tripping up?
    And so on.

What is the RX Method?

The RX method has been over 10 years in development, and it was created to fill a huge void in the fitness industry that needed a systematic, detailed and progression-based training program to learn double unders. We were able to draw on years of gymnastics experience with movement analysis, consulted with personal and performance trainers, looking at progression models, and we observed and analyzed numerous competitive jump rope athletes absorbing any helpful efficiency techniques that culminated in what we believe is the most comprehensive approach to learning double unders. The Rx Method is intended to take someone with basic jump rope skills and progress them towards acquiring and perfecting their double under.
