Shorten my rope to 7’10” from a longer/heavier rope & the difference is crazy. 10/10 recommend shortening your jump rope
Replaced my old bare steel rope since I am just getting back into Crossfit and don't need the speed for jumping rope. This is a great product and I highly recommend it!
What's up, guys? Coach Drew here in San Diego. You remember when 24.2 came around and we had jump ropes in the center of it? Almost the entire year I spent training with this Rx Smart Gear drag rope that got me fitter, better, and faster with my speed rope, setting me up for more success at the Open.
I used a plastic rope for many years. I will never go back. This rope is considerably more money but the size is perfect, it feels good and is smooth.

My favorite Jump Ropes
"I used to be a nationally competitive rope skipper. Now, as a competitive CrossFitter, I love Rx Smart Gear's jump ropes, and I like to train with multiple different ones. My favorite is the Evo G2 speed rope. The first time I used it, I was shocked how fast it spins. It's great for double unders, especially in a competition setting, and triple unders when you need to spin the rope extra quickly.
The Frevo has a few awesome rope options. The beaded rope is great for learning crossovers and double-under crossovers, or for leveling up regular double unders. But in a competition, I would prefer the red fitness cable that is lighter so I can go faster and fatigue less easily.
The standard training rope is heavier than the Frevo options. It's easier to control than the fitness cable but spins faster than the beaded rope, so I recommend it for training skills once you've already learned them."

I’ve been using the hyper3 cables for years and have a couple pairs of handles. I decided it was time for some new ones. These are better than ever. So smooth and fast. Maybe it’s because they’re new, but these seem like an upgrade.

best jump rope ever. This is my 4th rope. I have purchased different rope weights and love them all!
Love it!! The weight helps me smooth my rope rotation and slow down the pace which forces me to jump higher.

This is my second rope from RXSG. My first one, The "Buff" rope is wore down to the nubbin but is still in use. For my new rope I got this hot pink replacement rope, "Ultra 1.8" and had them put it on the checkered "Finisher" handles. It's super light and fast compared to the "Buff" gauge rope- it really flies.
I've used other brands. RXSG is so well made, functional and durable. I think they're the best for my style and what I do- straight ahead long ass jump rope workouts- to music. So fun- changing my life.
This is my second RXSG rope, wore the first one down to the nubbin- still use it though.
I haven't used all the other brands but RXSG have the best feel for my style. They're made well and really hold up.
Plus you can get your fly as heck handles.
